

Big Blue Stem, Andropogon geradii is a characteristic species of Canada’s tallgrass prairie ecosystems. A clump forming warm season grass it grows up to 2.5m in height and a root depth up to 3m. It has green-blue leaves, delicate yellow flowers and a distinctive three pronged seed head giving it the nickname turkey foot.
