Little Blue Stem, Schizachyrium scoparium is a common prairie grass native to much of North America. A clump forming warm season grass, it can grow to 1.5m in height and have a root depth of 1.5m. Blue-green in the summer changing to a deep rust in the fall. It has silvery seed heads along the stem.
