Northern Bush Honeysuckle, Diervilla lonicera is a small shrub with arching stems 30-90cm long. Leaves are green in the summer then change from yellow to red in the fall. It produces tube shaped yellow flowers that occur near the ends of branches starting late spring early summer. It grows in dense clusters and creates a nice ground cover. It is a valuable food source for pollinators, seed eaters and grazers and the larval host to the Fawn Sphinx Moth.

Conditions: Part shade to shade. Dry to medium. Well drained rocky, sandy soils.
