Wild Bergamot, Monarda fistulosa is one of the most beautiful and recognizable of our native wildflowers. Popular among gardeners many cultivars have been developed. It has a flower head of 5-10 cm wide, in a bright lilac or pink pom-pom. The leaves are opposite and lance shaped. The plant can grow up to 1 meter in height.
